On February 7 the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation hosted a public round table in collaboration with Maison de Futur and the Middle East Institute for Research and Strategic Studies (MEIRSS) on the topic of “The United States under Trump: Internal Dynamics and Repercussions on the Middle East”.

Lebanon’s Fiscal Deficit; How to address this urgent challenge

In collaboration with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS), the Lebanese Forces Party organized a round table on “Lebanon’s Fiscal Deficit; How to address this urgent challenge”. The workshop took place on Wednesday 06, February 2019 in Citea Hotel Achrafieh and discussed ways to reduce the fiscal deficit in the budget. This workshop was the beginning of a series of workshops that will address the challenges of the economic and financial sectors affected by the economic development and growth in Lebanon.

Die Veranstaltung fand am 10. Oktober 2018 unter Beteiligung von Prinzessin Hayat Wahab Arslan, Präsidentin des Committee for Women Political Empowerment, SE Jean Oghassabian, dem libanesischen Minister für Frauenangelegenheiten sowie anderer Redner und Gästen aus Politik, Medien, Wissenschaft und Sicherheitskräften statt.

Am 21. September organisierte die Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung zusammen mit den libanesischen NGOs Levant Institute for Strategic Affairs und Maison du Futur in der Gemeinde Bikfaya, eine Diskussionsrunde zur CEDRE-Konferenz. Grundlage der Diskussion waren zwei Strategiepapiere von Dr. Sami Nader „The geopolitical context and its implication on the domestic front“ und von Dr. Kamal Hamdan „The opportunities and realization potentials“.
