Delegates of youth wings of EPP sister parties from Central European countries and international experts discussed the implications of digital and innovative developments in Europe and the importance of Millennials’ contribution to public discourse and digital policy shaping. The attendees explored challenges and opportunities with regard to education, skill training and jobs, as well as specifics of political communication in the digitized age. They also gained insight into relations between various levels of decision-making and participation, national and European-level strategies, policies and practices supporting digital transformation and boosting economic competitiveness, as well as the role and place of youth stakeholders. Special emphasis was placed on discussing the best strategies for enhancing relevance of mother parties for their generational cohorts. In the context of this event Frank Spengler, Resident Representative of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Hungary, introduced the work of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Budapest and discussed the role of political foundations in digital education.
