LOCATION:
DESCRIPTION:The Rule of Law Programme Middle East and North Africa Office of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), in collaboration with the Faculty of Legal and Political Sciences at Hassan I University in Settat, Morocco, is organizing the conference “Breaking Chains: Strengthening Legal and Human Rights Strategies to Combat Human Trafficking in the MENA Region.”
Taking place on February 11, 2025, at the City of Innovation and Scientific Research, Hassan I University, this event will bring together leading experts from Morocco, Germany, Tunisia, and Lebanon. Through engaging discussions, the conference will address key challenges in combating human trafficking, focusing on legislative frameworks, victim support mechanisms, and cross-border cooperation. Experts will analyze policy effectiveness, explore victim protection strategies, and highlight the role of international collaboration in strengthening legal responses.
This initiative aims to enhance regional efforts in tackling human trafficking by fostering legal reform and coordinated action. We invite policymakers, legal practitioners, academics, law students, and civil society representatives to join us in this critical dialogue.
