As a follow-up to the seminars organized in 2019 for stakeholders in the region, the seminar would evaluate progress made on interventions and review roadmaps set for achieving fruitful cooperation among stakeholders in the security management chain. It aims at consolidating concerted efforts being made to tackle the rising cases of organized crimes ravaging the South-South zone including militancy, oil bunkering, armed robbery, kidnapping, and cultism among others. This seminar would further buttress the need and strategies for deepening collaboration by appraising the gains made from earlier sessions and review lessons learned in order to work out appropriate measures for enhancing sustainable success in entrenching the culture, principles and practice of cooperation. Furthermore, it would go a long way in expanding platforms for building trust, confidence and information sharing among personnel of the various security agencies, and members of civil society. The seminar is part of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung’s support to the Security Sector Reform in Nigeria. This program is funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
