The annual and nationwide legal affairs training workshop series is a long-term cooperation project between Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Vietnam and Ministry of Justice (MoJ), Department of General Affairs on Legislative Development. Legal affairs services play an important role in the process of building an active, integrous and transparent Government.

On 18 March, the hybrid 2022 Legal Affairs workshop was successfully organized in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province. The workshop was moderated by Mrs. Nguyen Minh Tuyen - Office Manager of KAS Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Hong Tuyen - Director General of Department of General Affairs on Legislative Development, Ministry of Justice, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee. More than 200 judicial officials from 24 southern provinces participated online and on-sight. High on the agenda of the morning workshop was the (i) evaluation of 10-year-implementation of the Government's Decree No. 55/2011/ND-CP which defines the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structures of legal organizations, (ii) orientations for amendment and supplementation of the Decree to further strengthen effectiveness of legal affairs. Reported in the workshop, the lesson-learnt of implementing Decree No. 55/2011/ND-CP at provinces provides important inputs for the amendment and supplementation of the Decree.

Strengthening the capacity of legal workers in ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies and specialized agencies under provincial People's Committees is one of the goals of Decree No. 55/2011/ND-CP.
