Visit to Çankırı Karatekin University under the 105th EU Certificate Program
Before the official start of the program, there was an exchange of ideas with Prof. Dr. Hasan Ayranci, the Rector of Çankırı Karatekin University. The focus of the meeting was the Turkish-German relations, as well as the activities of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Foundation.
Afterwards, Director Country Office Turkey Sven-Joachim Irmer addressed more than 500 participants in the seminar room and congratulated on International Women's Day. He also thanked Prof. Dr. Hasan Ayrancı,the Rector of Çankırı Karatekin University for the opportunity and help in organizing such a training program. Mr. Sven-Joachim Irmer expressed that students study at a good university and emphasized the importance to evaluate study life at any moment. Above all, he emphasized the importance of Turkish-European relations and said to audience that they have chance to shape future of relations.
The program began on March 5, 2018 and has been held at the Çankırı Karatekin University for five days. On the first day, Prof. Dr. Nail Alkan in the certification program led the debates on the future and enlargement of the EU. On the second day of the program, Assoc. Dr. Sezai Özçelik from Çankırı Karatekin University addresses the topic "EU Neighborhood Relations". As part of the 3rd day program, Assoc. Dr. Bilal Karabulut from Gazi University presented the external security and defense policy of the EU to students. Dr. Levent Ersin Oral (Gazi University) told the student about project management of EU Development Agencies on the 4th day. On the last day of the certificate program Assoc. Dr. Armagan Gözkaman (Beykent University) talked about the EU institutions, decision-mechanism.
Participants will be given a certificate after the program.
