Commemorating Euromaidan's 2nd anniversary: The Youth of the European People’s Party holds Council Meeting in Kyiv

The Youth of the European People’s Party debated the progress and perspectives of reforms in Ukraine with the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman, the Deputy Head of Batkivschyna Party Boris Tarasyuk, young parliamentarians from the interfactional ‘Eurooptimist’ group in the Rada and representatives from several ministries.
Based on these discussions, the Council of YEPP put forward a white paper to promote reforms in the economic, judicial, and social sectors and to provide recommendations for security and foreign affairs.
Following the visit, YEPP Vice President Andrianos Giannou noted that political populism puts the reforms in jeopardy: "In Ukraine though, the politics of unity and responsibility might just swing the pendulum between survival and collapse."
