In order to answer this question, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung funded the study: "Framework for Municipal Adaptation Plan – Case Study of Douala V». The study will serve as a guide for decision makers and help them to identify and prioritize risks related to climate change as well as to develop strategies on how to mitigate risks. The results of the study have been published in a brochure that also gives information on how municipalities can access available funds.

During the presentation of the brochure on May 28 in Douala, participants from the public sector, students and experts discussed the outcomes and had the possibility to ask the authors further questions. It became clear that participants were eager to learn more about concrete implementation strategies and wanted practical advice on how Douala could become a climate resilient city.
