As new Resident Representative for KAS Jordan Office in Amman, Dr. Annette Ranko has invited partners of KAS Jordan and members of the German community to a welcome reception on 12th September 2017.
The festive evening dinner commenced with short speeches by Dr. Edmund Ratka, Desk Officer for the Near East and the Gulf States, and Dr. Annette Ranko, stressing the importance of strengthening Jordan’s civil society and collaboration of German partners in order to promote this common aim. The presentation of a recent study concerning opinions within the Jordanian society gave valuable insights into current issues and led to illuminative discussions.
The attendance of Birgitta Siefker-Eberle, German ambassador, as well as the heads of the other German political foundations in Jordan pointed out the significance of continuing the tradition of mutual respect and support in furtherance of democracy and freedom.
