Roundtable discussions with Mark Hauptmann, Member of the German Bundestag (MP) in Wellington

He will be visiting New Zealand from 15 until 18 April 2019.

Mark Hauptmann, Member of the German Bundestag (MP), was awarded a PM Fellowship by the New Zealand Government. PM Fellowships provide an opportunity for rising political leaders to visit New Zealand and to learn more about, and to intensify, the bilateral relationship between New Zealand and their home country.

KAS Regional Programme Australia and the Pacific has organised various events with MP Hauptmann during his stay in Wellington.

This includes a luncheon discussion in cooperation with The New Zealand Initiative on current political and economic challenges in Europe and New Zealand as well as a roundtable discussion in cooperation with The Asia New Zealand Foundation on the relationship between Germany and Asia. In a dialogue with New Zealand experts the participants are to exchange views on the developments in the South China Sea, in the Indo-Pacific in general and in regards to ASEAN.

KAS Canberra looks forward to the MP’s visit and the cooperation with the two think tanks.
