Already second edition of the three-month course “Educate yourself on Europe” successfully came to an end in May, 2018, in Vilnius, where 20 students from all over Belarus received their participation certificates.
The Blended-Learning course was launched by Belarus office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in cooperation with Belarusian educational portal Adukacyja.info. The intensive programme combined various tasks online, individual projects, online mentoring and three face-to-face sessions in Belarus and Lithuania. The first edition of the course took place in February-April 2017. The novelty of this year’s course was the session organized in Belarus region, in the town of Mogilev. Also this year participants had a chance to participate in a Facebook live discussion on the EU-Belarus relations with Dr Wolfgang Sender.
The seminars and lectures were held by Dr Wolfgang Sender (KAS Belarus), Yauheni Preiherman (Liberal Club, Minsk), Dovilė Šukytė (Eastern Europe Studies Centre, Vilnius) and Arnoldas Pranckevičius (Representation of the European Commission in Lithuania).
During this course, the participants not only gained knowledge about the EU's structure, challenges and values and got acquainted with relations between the EU and Belarus, but also had a possibility to improve their practical skills by carrying out their own projects, by conducting surveys and interviews and by writing articles. Due to the mentoring online and during the face-to-face sessions, participants received feedback and improvement suggestions for their homework tasks and debate skills.
