During the first face-to-face seminar within the framework of the educational programme “Educate yourself on Europe”, the selected participants were not only introduced to the new course and its tasks, but also had a chance to get to know each other in person and lively discuss various European topics. The event gathered over 20 active pro-European Belarusian students with various educational backgrounds from all across Belarus.

The opening lecture was held by Dr Wolfgang Sender, Director of Belarus Office of the Konrad Adenauer foundation. Students learned about values, structure and main functions of the European Union; also, together with Dr Sender, discussed the results of the most recent informal EU summit.

About the course:

The aim of the blended learning course “Educate yourself in Europe” is to provide young Belarusians the knowledge about the EU's structure, values and current challenges, as well as to deepen understanding about the EU-Belarus relations. The three-month-course combines online learning and three face-to-face trainings. The seminars and lectures held by European and Belarusian experts take place in Belarus and Lithuania. The first class of the programme “Educate yourself on Europe” was conducted in 2017. “Educate yourself on Europe” is a joint project of Belarus office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and Belarusian educational portal Adukacyja.info.
