The KAS Climate Policy and Energy Programme for sub-Saharan Africa, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) the Government of Morocco and the host government of Gabon partnered to support the representatives of the African Civil Society as Major Groups and Stakeholders, having met in Libreville, Gabon on 10-11th June 2017 for the Regional Consultation Meeting to prepare for the 16th session of the African Ministerial Conference on the Environment (AMCEN) and the 3rd session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA).
The statement was officially presented to AMCEN during the Ministerial Conference on 15 June 2017 at the Radisson Blu Conference Centre, Libreville, Gabon.
