The Platform on Disaster Displacement is a state-led process addressing the protection needs of people displaced across borders in the context of disasters and climate change. Currently Germany holds the Chair and Bangladesh acts as the Vice-Chair of the Chairmanship. Several States and the European Union are represented through their Permanent Missions in Geneva. The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) are also advising in the process as standing invitees.
