Cybersecurity and data protection is one of the most pressing issues directly linked to the extension of information and communication technologies. The way we protect our data is crucial for businesses, NGOs and the public sector. More and more scandals and misuse is shocking the public and governments are under pressure to find solutions. The digital future talk on cybersecurity will take up this hot topic and shed light on different approaches and national coping strategies. It will also emphasize the need of cooperation between private and public sector as well as more awareness on the individual level. Hands-on tips for more protection will be shared.

About the speakers
Dr. Nabil Alsabah
He is a German expert on Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence and head of the information security department at bitkom, the Federal Association for Information Technology in Germany. Bitkom represents more than 2,500 companies of the digital economy. Through IT- and communication services alone, the members generate a domestic annual turnover of 190 billion Euros. Bitkom strongly advocates a strong European digital policy and a fully integrated digital single market as well as establishing Germany as a key driver of digital change in Europe and globally. In his position at bitkom he has experience in consulting directly the German government and other major stakeholders. During his time at the Mercator institute for China studies he specialized on cybersecurity in China and the Chinese approach on cybersecurity legislation. His research focus lies on cybersecurity as well as E-Governance.
Mr. Ou Phannarith
He is the Director of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Security at the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of Cambodia. He is the former Head of National Cambodia Computer Emergency Response Team (CamCERT) and has been involved in the development of Cybercrime Law, E-Commerce Law, Cambodia ICT Masterplan 2020 and Digital Signature legislation. He will give an insight in Cambodia’s strategy towards cybersecurity.
