The Junge Union is the official Youth Sector Association of the CDU/CSU Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union (Bavaria) organized in one federal, 18 regional and 480 district associations throughout Germany. The regional associations send their delegates to the Deutschlandtag, the annual national congress. Every two years it elects the federal board and the chairman. The JU maintains a permanent federal office in Berlin. With about 120.000 members, the JU is the largest political youth organization in Europe. The JU fundamental principles are based on a Christian and humanistic conception of man. The JU conviction of the inviolability of human dignity and the respect for individual freedom combined with the responsibility for the individual to contribute to the community originate there. To the JU, these values are not hollow rhetoric, but shall be lived daily.

During a half-day discussion on October 26th, five leading representatives of the JU will exchange experiences with selected key senior party officials and youth members of the Cambodian National Rescue Party (CNRP) on 1) youth wing structures and self-perception 2) activity planning on national and subnational levels, 3) recruitment strategies and 4) youth movement reform strategies.
