Members' Participation 2008/9

Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in cooperation with ICAD publishes a parliamentary analysis on a regular basis. The publication at hand covers the performance of parliament in the years 2008 and 2009 and targets politicians and interested citizens in order to provide them with information about the performance and efficiency of parliament and single MPs. The analysis promotes transparency of parliamentary work and gives detailed information about single MPs according to their district. This enables the citizens of Kenya to make an informed decision in elections.

Am 4. August 2010 wurde in Kenia in einem Referendum über eine neue Verfassung abgestimmt, die mit großer Mehrheit von der Bevölkerung angenommen und durch Präsident Mwai Kibaki am 27. August formal in Kraft gesetzt wurde.
