The delegation meeting the Minister for Women`s Affairs H.E. Jean Oghassabian

In a multi-day visit from 15/09/2018 to 18/09/2018, a delegation consisting of female mandate holders of the Young Union Germany travelled to Lebanon.

During their visit the participants met with representatives of the Lebanese parties Lebanese Forces and Kataeb to discuss challenges and potentials of women participation of women in politics, as well as the security, economy and social problems and political participation of the youth in Lebanon. As part of the discussions on women's participation, the delegation also met the Minister for Women`s Affairs H.E. Jean Oghassabian.

In order to learn more about the situation of refugees in Lebanon, the delegation also visited a camp in the Bekaa Valley and met with local politicians and NGO representatives in Baalbek.
