Terrorism is a word that elicits fear and apprehension for many, while sustainable development seems a distant dream that continues to elude a majority of inhabitants around the globe. Given the apparently contrasting vision both terms signify to different people, what could possibly be the relationship between these two, or is it simply an illusion? The quest to explore the linkages, if any, between these two phenomena resulted in this publication in recognition of those who have dedicated their lives towards both the advancement of sustainable development and the fight against terrorism to transform our world for the better.
