Der mosambikanische Verfassungsrechtler Giles Cistac wurde am 3. März 2015 gegen 8.50 Uhr auf offener Straße mit vier Schüssen von bisher noch unbekannten Tätern ermordet. Cistac war ein Dozent der Rechtsfakultät der Eduardo Mondlane-Universität in Maputo. Über mehr als zehn Jahre hatte der auf Rechtsstaatlichkeit und Verfassungsfragen spezialisierte Mosambikaner mit algerischen Wurzeln als Partner mit der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung zusammengearbeitet.
