The participants attended the premier “Political Marketing and Campaigning”. This was the first time both journalists and politicians took part taking in a common training course. The course was about political marketing as well as campaign guidelines.

They learned from one another and were able to reach an understanding, from that they will be able to work better together in the future. This was one point of the course. At the same time the upcoming Kenyan elections were discussed as well.

The aims of the seminar were improving politicians’ public relations work and to achieve more unprejudiced style of reporting.

On account of that they discussed a lot and worked together in mixed groups on common projects. All the hard work resulted in the production of a flyer and as well as radio advertisement. The training TV interviews complemented the practical part of the course.

At the end of the week all participants agreed that the seminar was a perfect base for future projects. One of the participants said that the newly acquired network should be used in the future.
