Syed Nazakat was the first Indian national ever to be allowed access to this facility. The prison camp is located 840 kilometres off Miami, in Cuba, and is spread over 120 square kilometres. It is administered by the Joint Task Force-Guantanamo, JTF-GTMO, as it is called in short, and is staffed with personnel from the US Air Force, Army, Navy, Marines and the Coast Guard.

Apart from reporting on his observations and experiences while visiting the camp, he also managed to score an interview with the commander of the Joint Task Force-Guantanamo, Rear Admiral Richard Butler, who is in charge of the detention and security of detainees at Guantanamo Bay. In his interview, Butler spoke about the ongoing hunger strike inside the camp, allegations of Koran desecration and interrogation of detainees.
