In today’s information age the importance of communication cannot be overstated. Nor can the fact that in this enterprise, journalists and media owners play a pivotal role. Therefore a compendium which lists all major media outlets operating in the Asian region and gives an account of the status of print and broadcast media in each Asian country is a more than welcome source. The second publication of the Media Directory by the Asia Media Programme of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is expanded to include not only the ASEAN countries as well as China, India, Korea and Taiwan, but also Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
