Dr. Andreas Nick MdB

has served as a member of the German Bundestag (CDU/CSU) since 2013. Prior to his work at the federal level, Dr. Nick worked for a number of international investment banks from 1994 to 2005, including Barclays, Credit Suisse First Boston, and UBS in Frankfurt am Main and in London. From 2006 to 2011, Dr. Nick was the Head of Mergers & Acquisitions at the private bank Sal. Oppenheim jr. & Cie. KgaA. He also worked as a Professor of Corporate Finance at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management from 2012 to 2013. Since 1991, Dr. Nick has been a member of the CDU district board for Koblenz-Montbaur; a member of the Westerwald district council since 1998; and District Chairman for the CDU Westerwald since 2014.

In 1988, Dr. Nick completed his studies in Business Administration at the WHU in Vallendar (Otto Beisheim School of Management), which included studying abroad at the ESC Lyon (now EMLYON Business School) and Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He received a Master of International Public Policy (MIPP) degree from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in 2006. Dr. Nick was a scholarship recipient of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung.
