KAS in partnership with Citizens United for the Rehabilitation of Errants (CURE-Nigeria) will be bringing stakeholders from justice, human rights and prison reform sectors together with journalists and civil society organizations to examine the current issues of concern the Nigerian prison system is facing and work out suggestions for the newly-elected government.

Sylvester Uhaa (CURE-Nigeria) and Dr. Uju Agomoh (PRAWA) shall be presenting two papers which will be followed by panel discussions with Tony Ojukwu Esq., Executive Secretary National Human Rights Commission; Chuks Afujue, Deputy Controller, General of Prisons (rtd.), among others. Prof. Etannibi E.O. Alemika, Prof. of Criminology and Sociology, Uni. of Jos and Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Prisons Reform (2005/2006) shall be moderating the panel discussions.
