The German Federal Agency for Civic Education visits the West Bank with KAS

On August 20th and 21st, we hosted a small delegation from the German Federal Agency for Civic Education with its President Thomas Krüger. During one and a half days we met with Palestinians in Ramallah and Nablus, listening to their thoughts and opinions on politics and the civil society as well as the economic situation.

The office of Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Palestine received a group of German journalists under 30 as part of a delegation visiting the region with the European Leadership Network (ELNET). The group spent half a day in Ramallah and met with Palestinian entrepreneurs and young journalists.

Visit of the CDU parliamentary group from Schleswig-Holstein

A large delegation from the CDU parliamentary group of the Landtag (state parliament) of Schleswig-Holstein visited Israel and the Palestinian territories. State parliament president Klaus Schlie and the head of delegation and parliamentary group leader Tobias Koch were, amongst others, also present. The group learned more about history, social realities and the local political situation as they visited the Palestinian Territories.

A delegation of the Federal Agency for Civic Education - bpb - is hosted by KAS

On May 14, 2019, we spent the whole day with a group from the Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb), brought them together with people from the Palestinian civil society and talked to them about our work and the situation in the Palestinian Territories. The packed program started with our office manager Marc Frings, who gave the group an early morning introduction in East Jerusalem, on the political and social situation in the Gaza Strip, East Jerusalem and the West Bank.

The Knesset Elections and the Palestinians

A Roundtable Discussion on the Knesset Elections and the possible impact on Palestinians.

The Israeli parliamentarian elections will be held on April 9, 2019. Although the elections are particularly important to Israeli citizens, they are widely followed by Palestinians in the Occupied Territories. Many Palestinians believe these elections can greatly impact their livelihoods as a general rejection of the two-state solution and the intensification of the settlement project were recurring topics around the election campaign.
