Law, Justice, and Reconciliation in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

In cooperation with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, the Institute of Law held a lecture on "Law, Justice and Reconciliation in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict" by Dennis Fox, as part of the Legal Encounter Series. Professor Fox is a retired Professor in Legal Studies and Psychology - University of Illinois at Springfield.

Law and Armed Conflict: Impact on Palestine

The conflict between International Humanitarian Law and asymmetric warfare was reflected on in two lectures given at the Institute of Law, Birzeit University, which is supported by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Ramallah.Prof. Lisa Hajjar spoke about “International Humanitarian Law and the Israeli-American War on Terror”. Mr. Phil Shiner being the second person to speak, elaborated on “Changing the Current UK Policy of Selling Arms to Israel”.

Survey After the War in Lebanon: Palestinians Consider Hezballah a Model

63% of Palestinians think they have to take Hezballah as their model and follow up its methodology. This is a result of a public opinion poll conducted September 10-19 jointly by the Harry S. Truman Research Institute for the Advancement of Peace at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research in Ramallah.
