Der European Data Summit 2019 findet unter dem Motto "Competition Matters" statt. Hat Europa einen Ansatz beim Thema Daten, der einen Wettbewerbsnachteil gegenüber den USA und China darstellt? Der Bericht der Berater der EU-Kommissarin Vestager, der Furman-Report der britischen Regierung, die Befunde der Wettbewerbskommission des Bundeswirtschaftsministeriums sowie die Ergebnisse der Datenethikkommission stehen im Fokus der Diskussion. Extra Sessions widmen sich dem Thema eHealth und dem Open-Data-Gesetz.
