Details
The Regional Programme Political Dialogue Asia has invited the 8th batch of the Konrad Adenauer School for Young Politicians (KASYP) to Germany from 9 to 15 September 2018. Within this final workshop of the 8th batch´s two-year training programme, the young political leaders of the future will meet a diverse group of German dialogue partners from the professional political, business, and media community as well as civil society actors.
During the first part of this workshop, participants will experience the political scene in Berlin, learn about modern party politics and campaigning in times of social media and digitalisation, German federal politics and history as well as European integration.
The programme will then bring participants to the wonderful cities Erfurt and Jena in the State of Thüringen, where the group can get together with state- and local level political stakeholders as well as individuals from all sectors of the local civil society and the local civil service.
The overall aim is to acquaint this new generation of Asian leaders with German governance structures and political party organisation, and to share our experiences with federalism and regional integration; all of which is as relevant in Asia as it is in Europe. Secondly, the programme will provide an opportunity to connect political stakeholders and organisations intercontinentally as well as among themselves.
