Job Announcement: Project Manager for Digitalisation (m/f/d)

For three months we are looking for a Project Manager on a part-time basis (20hrs/week)

For our activities & projects between April and June we are looking for additional support in the area of digitalisation (e governance, Smart Cities) to facilitate the planning, budgeting, implementation and evaluation of several events. The Project Manager will be employed on an honorary basis of 20 hrs per week for the duration of three months.

Between the 7th and 8th of December, the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation is organising an international conference on “Sustainable Water Management: Improving Water Policy and Governance in Emerging Asia” in Singapore. Die Vorgänge in Thailand mit dem Militärputsch im Mai und der Auflösung des Parlaments sind ein Beleg dafür, dass freiheitliche Demokratie noch keineswegs ein allgemein akzeptiertes oder gar konsolidiertes Ordnungsmodell in Asien ist. Selbst in den sogenannten „Wahldemokratien“ sind demokratische Prozesse und Verfahren noch recht prekär und demokratische Institutionen wie Parteien und Parlament nur sehr eingeschränkt funktionsfähig.Deshalb sind weiterhin politische Bildungsmaßnahmen notwendig, um demokratische Prozesse und Institutionen zu stärken.

Conference "Climate Diplomacy and Urban Resilience"

A landmark conference took place on 4-5 September in Yangon, Myanmar to enhance discussions between European and Asian partners on “Climate Diplomacy and Urban Resilience”. The dialogue was organised by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’s Regional Programme Political Dialogue with Asia (KAS) in cooperation with UN-Habitat and was part of the EU-Asia Dialogue, which is funded by the European Union and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung. In total, 97 people from 20 countries attended the conference.

On 21 October 2013, the regional programme Political Dialogue with Asia of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Singapore, in cooperation with the Center for Industrial Development and Environmental Governance (CIDEG) of the Tsinghua University Beijing, organized a conference on “Europe-Asia Cooperation on Climate Change Negotiations”. The key note speech of this event was delivered by Mr. Su Wei, Bureau Chief for the Development of Climate Change in the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and Chief Climate Negotiator of the People’s Republic of China.
