Dr. Peter Hefele and Thomas Helm visit Astana Solar

Together with Dr. Peter Hefele, the head of the KAS regional program for “Energy Security and Climate Change” in Asia, Thomas Helm, the resident representative of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Kazakhsan, visited the company Astana Solar in the Kazakh capital on the 15th of February. At Astana Solar, they were greeted by the manager of the company, Vyacheslv K. Sovetskiy. Apart from a visit of the solar panel production, a comprehensive discussion about Kazakhstan’s renewable energy strategy took place (the government’s aim being a RES share of 30% by 2030). Furthermore, opportunities for German- Kazakh cooperation in regard to technical training were evaluated.
