New KAS EUCERS Scholarship holder 2015/16 - Regional Programme Energy Security and Climate Change in Asia and the Pacific
Event Reports
Since 2013, a close cooperation between Konrad Adenauer Foundation and the European Centre for Energy and Resource Security (EUCERS) at King's College London has been established. The KAS/EUCERS scholarship award offers an opportunity for young researchers from all over the world to deal intensively with a topic concerning the current global energy and resources politics at one of the worldwide leading research and policy consulting institutions.
For the academic year 2015/16, the Regional Project Energy Security and Climate Change in Asia Pacific (RECAP) offered this scholarship for applicants from Asian countries. Out of several applicants, RECAP has chosen Ms. Dr. Chungping XIE.
Ms. Xie has recently obtained her PhD in energy economics at Xiamen University / PR China where she dealt primarily with questions on the Chinese energy economics and the reduction of CO2 emissions.
Ms. Xie will use her scholarship to do research about current issues of global fossil energy markets. Furthermore, she will contribute to the organisation of events within the cooperation between EUCERS and KAS.
We congratulate Ms. Xie on her scholarship and look forward to the cooperation!
