ROUNDTABLE ON IMPLEMENTATION OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES’ TRADITIONS INTO THE TRAINING OF JUDGES

In collaboration with the Supreme Court of the Philippines and the Philippines Judicial Academy, the KAS Rule of Law Programme Asia will be hosting a Round Table Discussion on Knowledge Sharing on the Implementation of Indigenous Peoples’ Traditions into the Training of Judges on November 25-26 in Manila.

The 2-day discussion will focus on the following topics like understanding Indigenous Peoples' customs and traditions; Indigenous legal traditions before Court, reconciliation of Indigenous legal traditions and court proceedings; and the interaction between the Judiciary and Indigenous Peoples. Experts will be participating from Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Philippines, United States of America and Vietnam.
