The Konrad Adenauer Foundation , the Lebanese Bar Association and the Lebanese Foundation for Permanent Civil Peace cordially invite you for the occasion of the Human Rights Day to join a symposium about the International mechanisms for protecting Human Rights and their efficiency.

The first session will include brief presentations by the Head of the Lawyer's syndicate, by Peter Rimmele of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and by representatives of the LFPCP and the Human Rights Institute. The key-note speech entitled “International mechanisms for protecting Human Rights" will be held by Dr. Myriam Younes, assistant of the Dean of the Law and Political Science Faculty at the BAU. The second session will be composed by three contributions on human rights mechanisms, the first by Maysam Nwayri, General Direction of the Ministry , on “Lebanon and International Human Rights mechanisms: The role of the Ministry of Justice” , the second by Dr. Michel Moussa, Head of the Human Rights parliamentary committee on “Legislation and the protection of Human Rights” and the third by Philippe Lazzarini, Resident Representative of the UN Program in Lebanon on “Requirements of Activating International Protectionism of Human Rights".
