During the one-day conference, journalists, lawyers, political activists, and academics will discuss the role played by media in the so-called "Arab Spring" regarding fundamental rights, such as freedom of expression and equality rights. The project aims to strengthen the role of the media in transitional phases in contributing to the protection of fundamental rights and the preservation of peace. To this end, a dialogue and long-term cooperation between the participating media players will be initiated at the regional conference.
