This roundtable provides an opportunity for academics, community-based organizations, non-governmental organizations, policy makers and stakeholders to discuss the human rights

and governance implications of the water crisis in the City of Cape Town with citizens and interested civil society groups affected by social policy changes.

The panellist at the roundtable discussion will include Prof. Nico Steytler (NRF SARChI Chair in Multilevel Government, Law and Policy), Dr David Olivier (Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Global Change Institute, University of the Witwatersrand), a representative from the City of Cape Town and a representative from the South African Human Rights Commission.
