Security Challenges of Religious Communities in a Changing World - Auslandsbüro Ungarn
Fachkonferenz
Details
In September 2017 a group of researchers set up a Ludovika Research Group at the National University of Public Service. This was an important step in the systematic study of extremism and religious extremism in Hungary. Besides academic research, the members of the group have also organised multiple academic events in Hungary, which were dedicated to certain aspects of this broad topic. On 11 June 2018 an international conference will take place in Budapest focusing on the multiple security challenges religious communities around the world have to face in the very turbulent 21st century. The keynote speaker of this event will be His Excellency Archbishop Pierbattista Pizzaballa the Apostolic Administrator of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem. Besides him, the organising committee have also invited a number of well respected speakers to ensure that this field also gets the attention it rightly deserves.
