Who can participate in the competition?
Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who are enrolled in full-time programmes at Kazakhstani universities — bachelor's or master's degree students — are eligible to become scholarship recipients of the Foundation.
At the time of application, participants must not be older than 30 years of age.
Priority in the competitive selection process is given to students who are actively involved in the social and political life of the country, have a broad outlook, are goal-oriented and have an active lifestyle.
Scholarship amount and payment period
85,000 tenge per month for 12 months - from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027.
Competitive selection
The selection process consists of two stages:
1. Submission of a package of documents
2. Interview (for candidates who have successfully passed the first stage) with representatives of the Fund offline or online, in German or English language.
Where and how to participate in the competition?
To participate, you must send a complete set of documents (see below) in a single PDF file in the order specified below to: sps-kaz@kas.de.
Documents sent in other formats (e.g. ZIP, docx.), as well as incomplete or unstructured applications, will not be considered.
Please do not attach any unnecessary documents. Failure to comply with the submission rules will result in the application being rejected.

Documents are accepted in English/German and include:
1. Completed application form with a recent photograph (download application form)
2. Curriculum vitae
3. Motivation letter (max. 2 pages)
4. Transcript of grades (translation not required)
5. Certificate from your place of study (translation not required)
6. Bachelor's degree with appendix (for master's students; translation not required)
