The main topis of the event were “Economic Development” and "Green Economy", the 17th “Day of the German economy” since the Delegation of German Economy in Central Asia started its work in Kazakhstan. In the audience hall the challenges and opportunities for German investments in Kazakhstan and the green economy in Kazakhstan were discussed..The Day of the German economy - a traditional networking event for the German and Kazakh companies and their political partners. The conference discussed the achievements, future projects, the possibility of improving bilateral cooperation. The Day of the German Economy in Kazakhstan has become a unique platform for establishing business contacts between German and Kazakh enterprises with representatives of the Kazakh ministries and organizations. The forum was attended by the Akim (Mayor) of Almaty Baurzhan Baibek, Vice Minister of Investment and Development Albert Rau, the Ambassador of Germany in Kazakhstan Dr. Guido Herz, Federal Government Commissioner for Matters Related to Ethnic German Resettlers and National Minorities, MP Hartmut Koschyk, Head of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung`s Representative office in Kazakhstan, Thomas Helm, and honorary guests from Germany. After the event there was a celebration on the occasion of the traditional Oktoberfest in Germany.
