Thomas Helm, Director of the Representative Office of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, spoke about the current position of Kazakh-German relations and future perspectives of its development. Timur Shaimergenov, Deputy Director of the Library of the First President, introduced the multi-vector foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which has been successfully implemented during 25 years of independence. Askar Nursha from the Institute of World Economy and Politics presented on the interaction between Central Asian after the Soviet Union collapse, concentrating more on new developing vector of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. Eduard Poletayev, Chief of the Public Fund “World of Eurasia”, in turn focused his presentation on Kazakh-Russian relations, and particularly on EAEU. Adil Kaukenov, Director of the International Center for Kazakh-Chinese cooperation, shared his views regarding the development of the relations between China and Kazakhstan, and revealed a lot of interesting facts about Chinese foreign politics. The participants of the seminar did not remain indifferent: they actively asked questions and commented on the speakers.
Traditionally, the fellows also received their own task - to present their vision of the development of the relations between Kazakhstan and the European Union, the development of the EAEU, and Belt and Road Initiative by 2027, considering risks, prospects and using own imagination. Each team excelled in originality and critical thinking.
