Thomas Helm, Resident Representative of KAS to Kazakhstan, welcomed the participants of the conference and gave a lecture on the topic "Homegrown terrorism" within the framework of the III Panel Session "Council of the European Union". The topic covered issues of terrorism and extremism, security and migration policy in Germany, and its challenges.

Dr. Daniel Beben, keynote speaker of the I Panel Session "United Nations Security Coun cil", presented the topic "Israeli-Palestinian conflict". Within the framework of the II Panel Session "United Nations Human Rights Council" Dr. David Hammerbeck gave a lecture on the topic "Human rights violations in Kashmir Region".

About 80 participants from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and India attended the conference.
