Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and MiAMBIENTE sign commitment act - Foundation Office Panama
Every day the capacity building for climate action adds more allies, this time the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Foundation signed a commitment agreement with MiAMBIENTE to support the Youth Leadership Academy on Climate Change.
Forty young people will participate in virtual sessions for 4 weeks, gaining important knowledge on climate science and policy, adaptation, mitigation, leadership, among others.
The beginning of this third edition was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, which is why this year the initiative is resumed with the purpose of strengthening the capacities for action and public participation of young leaders in the areas of sustainable development, agribusiness and renewable energies.
The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Foundation will donate promotional items such as notebooks, backpacks, sweaters, as well as support three young participants of this Academy, with mobile data for their cell phones, to facilitate their connectivity in virtual activities.
In the first two editions of the Leadership Academy, 60 young people from all over the country were trained. As part of the follow-up of the graduates, MiAMBIENTE monitors their development in specific climate change issues, which has allowed the alumni to develop important projects in their communities, focused on climate change mitigation plans.
