Panorama of Entrepreneurship and Career Development

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung participated in the Forum this year with guest speakers in two different Panels and Roundtable discussions.

The Panorama of Entrepreneurship and Career Development is the largest multi-panel forum on topics of entrepreneurship in Greece. Panorama targets young individuals between the ages of 18-35 years old. The Forum aims to educate young individuals on the trends, career choices and perspectives offered by approximately 15 industries of the Greek economy, through Panel discussions, workshops and round table discussions. Furthermore, the organizers are interested to support young people to choose their path either as a worker, manager or entrepreneur, and enhance their market orientation and extrovert market thinking. During the Panorama, the participants are also given the chance to apply and register for the Business Days; are excursions to Greek enterprises that open their doors to interested participants.

The 2018 Panorama was visited by 5.500 participants who discovered the tendencies of the market and discussed on their career opportunities with outstanding speakers from the business and entrepreneurial sectors. KAS Athens has participated actively in the Panorama for the past six years, always with the purpose to intensify the Greek-German dialogue on the topics of Entrepreneurship. This year the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung was present with guest speakers in two different Panels and Round table discussions.

On Friday 09.03. Seidel E. Claudius, Innovation Manager and German Node Corresponding Officer of EIT Digital, discussed his positions in the Panel 90% of startup fail: what does 10% do right?. He discussed how failure shapes a professional and how should one find their focus in their work field, when aiming for success. Later the same day Neef Martina, CEO & Founder of Rock it Biz, discussed on the Panel Women as businesswomen or business executives: challenges and opportunities the challenges of being a mother entrepreneur and how being an active entrepreneur is about accessing your capabilities and working with them.

On the following day KAS elaborated on the messages shared, through two additional Roundtable Discussions:

The first Roundtable Discussion titled Entrepreneurial mindset and how to overcome your fears of starting out brought Ms. Neef closer to young start uppers, ready to take the leap, who discussed with her on possible techniques and methods of evaluating their ideas and overcoming the fear of the beginning.

The second Roundtable Discussion was held by Mr. Seidel, who discussed on the ways of starting up a business in Europe and the importance of collaboration in the European level.
