15th KAS-SUIBE WTO Conference

This year, the annual SUIBE-KAS WTO-Conference focused on the topic of designing sustainable energy policies, which set standards for a global implementation. Experts from academics and practitioners discussed the challenges, developments and implications, which evolve from national experiences and provide basis for the implementation on an international level.

Changes in Europe’s socio-economic development model in the wake of the financial crisis

On 30 November 2015, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in cooperation with the International Department of the Central Committee of the CPC organized a one-day seminar on the topic of ‘changes in Europe’s socio-economic development model in the wake of the financial crisis’. Chinese and German economics experts, researchers and officials analysed the history of Europe’s socio-economic development as well as the impact of the recent recession on the future of the social market economy.

Third Chinese-German Forum at Tongji University, Shanghai

The KAS Shanghai hosted in cooperation with Tongji-University, the Center for Global Studies (CGS) of the University of Bonn and the Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association (SORSA) the third Chinese-German Forum on November 15th, 2015.

Studien- und Dialogprogramm für Vertreter der Kommunistischen Partei der VR China

Auf Einladung der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung war letzte Woche eine hochrangige Expertendelegation von sechs Politikwissenschaftlern der Internationalen Abteilung des Zentralkomitees der Kommunistischen Partei Chinas zu Gast in Brüssel, Berlin und Frankfurt am Main. Im Erfahrungsaustausch bei persönlichen Begegnungen wurden dort Perspektiven auf den Umgang mit der europäischen Flüchtlingskrise thematisiert und Handlungsoptionen für das weitere politische Vorgehen fachübergreifend erörtert.

Foreign Investments in Chinese capital markets

Developments and enforcement-concepts from a Chinese and German comparative perspective

In cooperation with the Law School of Tongji University and the Bucerius Law School, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Shanghai organized an international conference on foreign investments on Chinese capital markets. Reform experiences and discussions in a German-Chinese comparative context enabled a fruitful discourse between experts from academia and law practice.

Together with the German Chamber of Commerce and the Social Entrepreneurship Academy Munich, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation organized a two-day training workshop on social entrepreneurship. The ''ZGI:kompakt workshop program'' is organized by the Social Entrepreneurship Akademie and is sponsored by the KfW Stiftung, to address young changemakers around the world.

Auf Einladung der KAS ist in dieser Woche eine hochrangige Expertendelegation von fünf Wirtschaftswissenschaftlern sowie einer leitenden Mitarbeiterin des Internationalen Büros der renommierten Chinesischen Akademie für Sozialwissenschaften zu Gast in Berlin und München, um sich über die wirtschafts- und finanzpolitische Strukturen der Industrie auf nationalem und regionalem Level in Deutschland zu informieren. Das Besucherprogramm wurde vom Team Inlandsprogramme organisiert und wird von Herrn Thomas Awe, Leiter des Auslandsbüros der Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung in Peking/China, begleitet.
