Katja Hellkötter (Constellations Shanghai) shares her experiences and reflections on the interdependece of individuals and responsibility to society.

In cooperation with Constellations Shanghai, KAS/Shanghai offered a personal development workshop for Scholarship holders from KAS/Shanghai partner Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE) on the topic "From SELF Responsibility To Responsibility Within SOCIETY”. The workshop provided an unique opportunity for students to enhance consciousness about the interdependence of self awareness, professional performance and responsibility within society. It secondly aimed at developing soft skills such as personal leadership, openness, creative thinking and the ability of continuous learning.

Theoretical and practical tools were utilized to deeper understand personal characteristics and showed ways to collaborate and communicate in teams. The 20 participants could learn some practical advices for their future career and reflected on their own role as individuals in society.

Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE) is the main partner of KAS Shanghai. The annual scholarship programm for students of SUIBE includes study trips and workshops to gain technical insight in industry fields and experiences for their personal development.
