Political analysis and communication of the NSi

4th Workshop

The Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation organized in cooperation with the Institut Dr. Janez Evangelist Krek (IJEK) of the Slovenian party "New Slovenia" on October 21st and 22nd, 2022 in Postojna, Slovenia a workshop of the series: "Political Analysis and Communication". During the workshop participants discussed with communication experts the models of the election campaigns, the characteristics of the electorate and how to activate the voters to participate in the elections.

7th Zagreb Security Forum

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organized in cooperation with the Hybride Warfare Research Institute from October 7th to 8th, 2022 in Zagreb a conference about the hybrid security challenges and risks in the 21st century. With the participation of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Croatia, Mario Banožić and numerous security experts from various universities from all over Europe, the debate was about the transatlantic Cooperation and new Security Architecture, hybrid Threats, future cooperation with NATO, hybrid threats in the regional context and smart critical Infrastructure protection.

Days of HURIN

Media Conference

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organized together with the Croatian Radio Publisher Association "HURIN" on October 18th and 19th, 2022 in Sveti Martin na Muri a conference on "Role of private and local radio stations" within the Days of the Croatian Radio Publisher Association (HURIN). In the presence of the German journalist and former CEO of Studio Gong GmbH & Co. Studiobetrieb KG and BLW Bayerische Lokalradio-Werbung GmbH, Philipp von Martius, media experts discussed the importance of media competence for listeners and viewers, the effects of the new law on electronic media on the program development and program schemes of the media, the future of radio and the situation in the creative and cultural industries before and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Christian Democratic Ideas in Croatian History

Scientific Conference

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung and the Catholic University of Croatia organized a scientific conference on October 14th, 2022 in Zagreb on the subject: “Christian Democratic Ideas in Croatian History”. Together with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić Radman, PhD, the MEP, Karlo Ressler, and the member of the Croatian Parliament, Zdravka Bušić, politicians, representatives of the Croatian academic community and religious community as well as communication experts discussed, among other things, the historical experience with the Christian Democracy in Croatia, the challenges of the Christian Democracy in the future, formation of the modern Croatian state, present challenges of state sovereignty and the path of Croatian of the Croatian identity.

A model for supporting migrant families in the education system: inclusive and supportive policies and pedagogies

Together with the Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organized on October 13th, 2022 a roundtable on "A model for supporting migrant families in the education system: inclusive and supportive policies and pedagogies". We discussed with the State Secretary of the Central State Office for Demography and Youth, Željka josić, Ph.D. MD, representatives of the Ministry of Science and Education, experts from the Central State Office for Croats outside the Republic of Croatia, school principals and parents the systematic perspectives on support for migrants in the Croatian education system, the support of the community, school management and teachers in integrating returnees and the efforts and challenges faced by parents in enrolling their children in school and integrating them into a new society.

KAS Conference: Southeast Europe and Western Balkans

KAS Conference

From October 4th to 7th, 2022, the Office of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for Croatia and Slovenia organized a conference of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation for heads of country offices and regional programs from Southeast Europe and the countries of the Western Balkans in Vrbnik on the island of Krk. During the three-day conference, heads of KAS offices exchanged views with politicians, security, and migration experts on topics such as "Regional Security Policy", "Migration", "Political Education" and "Future of the EU".

Retail under the conditions of energy and climate change

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organized together with the business magazine "Suvremena trgovina" on October 5th, 2022 the MAGROS conference on "Retail under the conditions of energy and climate change". In two panel discussions, economic experts and representatives of Croatian companies discussed retail under the conditions of energy and climate change, the challenges of the euro's introduction and the disruptions and delays in supply chains.

16th Croatian Security Days

16th Conference of Croatian Security Managers - HUMS 2022

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung organized together with the Croatian Association of Security Managers (HUMS) from September 28th to 30th, 2022 in Opatija a conference on issues of corporate security and new models of security management under the name "15th Croatian Security Days". The Dean of the University of VERN, Prof. Vlatko Cvrtila, PhD, and the security expert, Prof. Robert Kopal, PhD, took part on the conference. During the event, participants discussed topics as "Security situation during the war in Ukraine", "Role of intelligence services", "New technologies for secure business", "Corporate security", "Security solutions in tourism", "Hybrid threats and strategic risks in critical industries of the Smart Industries", etc.

"Political Academy" PLUS

Workshop, Modul 7

Together with the Croatian Statehood Foundation, the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is organizing from September 9th to 11th, 2022 in Bol on the island of Brač a workshop of the series: "Political Academy PLUS". During the workshop, professors from various Croatian universities lectured on the political importance of the BRICS countries, the role of leadership in politics, models of successful communication and convincing presentation of political content.

NSi Seminar – Political Campaining

The Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation organized in cooperation with the NSi-Bildungsinstitut: Dr. Janez Evangelist Krek (IJEK) of the Slovenian party "New Slovenia" on September 5th and 6th, 2022 in Portorož a seminar on: " Analysis of political and social challenges in Slovenia". During the workshop, NSi Party leader Matej Tonin analyzed together with other NSi party members, economic, energy, financial and communication experts the consequences of the current crisis, the impact of the crisis on energy supply and financial markets, the characteristics of the Slovenian electorate, and the importance of political communication during campaigns.
