Climate change is increasingly putting a lot of livelihoods at risk around the world.  In the face of threat to life and a continued threat to the way people live their lives, there is an ongoing conglomerated effort between researchers, policy makers, activists, corporations, organisations and resilient communities that we continue to learn from to make sure that knowledge on climate change is turned into action. Since this knowledge that is meant to address a global problem of different varieties in different communities is important for the creation of legislation to govern climate change that could allow the world a better chance at mitigating climate change, it is important to make sure that more is known about climate change by more people.

A familiarisation with the fundamentals of climate change is also very important as a gateway to more nuanced conversations within the field. It is against this background that the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Zimbabwe commissioned a book on the frequently asked questions on climate change. This book is meant to create a gateway to a more simplified introduction to the study of climate change. It came from defining the most used terms in the study of climate change and also from answering the most common question climate change practitioners are approached with. This book seeks to create a simplified understanding of climate change that the organisation hopes would encourage the reader to dive deeper into the study with a more rudimentary understanding of key words and key topics. This includes general questions on climate change, the effects and corrective measures in place. The publication has contributions from experts in Climate Change and the rural and urban population of Zimbabwe.
