The KAS Promotionskolleg: Visit to Turkey (10–17 May)
After an intensive and intellectually rich week in Ankara and Istanbul, the delegation of KAS doctoral scholars concluded their visit to Turkey with highly positive impressions. Throughout a diverse and well‑structured programme, the delegation engaged in numerous discussions with representatives from politics, academia, and the business community. Visits to Anıtkabir—the Mausoleum of Atatürk—and the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) provided valuable insights into the political and historical foundations of the country. These direct exchanges opened up new perspectives and deepened the participants’ understanding of Turkey. The delegation also took part in the Istanbul Security Conference (ISC) and the KAS Women’s Workshop. This visit will undoubtedly contribute to further strengthening German‑Turkish relations.
