Building Digital Resilience – Digital Media Literacy

Challenges of the Contemporary Disinformation

The Institute of Democratic Politics in cooperation with the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Office Lithuania and other partners is organizing a seminar “Building Digital Resilience – Digital Media Literacy” on 15-16 June 2019. Journalists from different cities and regions in Lithuania as well as representatives from the civil society gather together to discuss the ways to counter disinformation and to strengthen their digital literacy skills.


The Institute of Democratic Politics in cooperation with Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Office Lithuania and other partner organizations is organizing a seminar on the challenges of the contemporary disinformation and the importance of digital resilience.

The programme of a two-day event consists of lectures and workshops on topics and questions such as: „What is Disinformation, Misinformation and Fake News?“, „Disinformation and the Responsibility of Social Media Companies“, „How to Spot Disinformation Yourself?“, „Lithuanian Experience in Strengthening Resilience“, "Using AI in Fighting Disinformation" and other.

Among the speakers and moderators there will be experts and practitioners from Vilnius University, Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wilfried Martens Center for European Studies, Atlantic Council, different media outlets and other institutions.
