Effective Communication for Political Parties - Auslandsbüro Philippinen
Online-Seminar
Details

Political communication is crucial in the central function of a political party. On the one hand, it provides politics with inputs that help shape decision outcomes. On the other hand, it allows the party to effectively convey the party’s messages, values, and image to different audiences such as the voters, supporters, and stakeholders.
In the era of digital communication, the political arena is no longer confined to the traditional medium of political communication, that is, radio, television, or newspaper. The Internet and social media platforms have become the most important instruments for politicians and political parties in reaching out to an audience that is no longer possible via the traditional media (Hofmeister, 20221). However, given the obvious benefit derived with the rise of social media, it also opens up an overwhelming task of keeping up with various and critical comments.
It is essential therefore that political parties deploy various communication strategies and tools to engage with the public to shape opinion, create a positive image of their candidates and policies, and mobilize its members and supporters. The session will focus on how political parties can deploy effective political communication and use specific tools to communicate its message to the public.
On the next episode of "The Path to Political Success," join us as we discuss the importance of effective communication for political parties. Ms. Clara von Nathusius, Mr. Gibby Gorres, and Ms. Ayo Di will share their insights and expertise on political communication. The event will be streamed via Zoom on Thursday, 9 November 2023, at 3:00 PM (Manila time).
